Accenture developed from the consulting business historically known as Andersen Consulting.
The business separated from Arthur Andersen and later adopted the Accenture name in 2001, marking the beginning of its current global brand identity. Accenture subsequently completed its initial public offering in July 2001.
Today, the listed parent company is Accenture plc, incorporated in Ireland, with its principal executive offices at Grand Canal Square in Dublin.
Helping Companies Reinvent
Accenture increasingly describes its role as helping organisations continuously reinvent rather than simply completing individual technology projects.
In 2026, the company reorganised its capabilities under Reinvention Services, bringing technology, industry expertise, AI, data and operations together into a more integrated model.
Its major areas now include Cybersecurity, Digital Core, Finance, Industry and Enterprise, Song, Supply Chain and Engineering, and Talent.
AI at the Centre of Transformation
Artificial intelligence has become central to Accenture’s strategy.
Its AI and data services help organisations build stronger data foundations, deploy generative and agentic AI, automate processes and redesign how employees and customers interact with technology.
Accenture also emphasises responsible and secure AI, recognising that governance, cybersecurity and trustworthy data are essential as AI becomes more deeply embedded in business operations.
Cloud and Cybersecurity
Cloud technology remains another major part of Accenture’s business.
The company works with enterprises to modernise applications, infrastructure and data platforms so they can operate more efficiently and support AI at scale.
Cybersecurity is increasingly integrated into this transformation, with Accenture focusing on areas including cloud security, cyber resilience, threat protection and secure AI systems.
A Global Partner Ecosystem

Accenture works closely with many of the world’s largest technology companies.
Its ecosystem includes more than 350 partners, allowing it to combine technologies from cloud, software, data and AI providers with its own consulting and implementation capabilities.
This model allows Accenture to support large-scale transformation projects across industries ranging from financial services and healthcare to telecommunications, manufacturing and government.
A Strong Presence Across Asia Pacific
Asia Pacific is an important part of Accenture’s global business.
The company has major operations across India, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, China, Australia, Southeast Asia and other regional markets, supported by offices and delivery centres across the region.
Accenture’s Asia-Pacific business is jointly led by Atsushi Egawa and Ryoji Sekido, with Sekido also serving as CEO of Asia Oceania.
In fiscal 2026, Asia Pacific generated approximately US$10.68 billion in revenue, representing growth of 8% in local currency.
Singapore is one of Accenture’s important regional centres. The company reports more than 17,000 employees across Southeast Asia, including around 3,590 in Singapore.
Global Scale and Financial Strength
For the fiscal year ended August 31, 2026, Accenture generated US$74.18 billion in revenue, up 6% in U.S. dollar terms.
Consulting contributed approximately US$36.88 billion, while Managed Services generated about US$37.30 billion.
Net income reached approximately US$8.52 billion, while total new bookings were US$84.54 billion.
The results demonstrate the scale of a business that now sits at the intersection of consulting, technology and enterprise transformation.
