About Ferrari

Ferrari is one of the world’s most recognisable luxury performance brands, combining sports cars, motorsport, engineering and Italian craftsmanship.

Modern Ferrari history began in 1947, when the Ferrari 125 S became the first car to bear the Ferrari name. The company remains centred in Maranello, Italy, where its road cars and core technologies are developed and produced.

From Racing to the Road

Enzo Ferrari founded Scuderia Ferrari in 1929, originally as a racing team. He later established his own automotive activities, eventually producing the first Ferrari-badged car in 1947.

The 125 S made its racing debut in May 1947 and soon delivered Ferrari’s first victory at the Rome Grand Prix.

That connection between competition and road-car development has remained central to Ferrari’s identity.

Performance, Design and Personalisation

Ferrari’s road-car strategy focuses on limited production, distinctive models and extensive personalisation rather than maximising volume.

Its current portfolio spans V12, V8 and V6 powertrains, including internal-combustion and hybrid models. Recent additions include the 12Cilindri, Purosangue, F80, 296 Speciale, Amalfi and 849 Testarossa.

Personalisation has also become an increasingly important part of Ferrari’s business, allowing clients to customise materials, colours and specifications while maintaining the exclusivity of each model.

Hybrid Technology and the Electric Era

Ferrari is developing multiple powertrain technologies rather than moving exclusively toward one solution.

Its e-building in Maranello, inaugurated in 2024, was designed to produce internal-combustion, hybrid and electric cars while also manufacturing strategic components such as electric motors, axles and high-voltage batteries.

Ferrari entered a new phase in 2026 with Ferrari Luce, its first fully electric sports car. Ferrari developed the electric axles, motors and other core components in-house, bringing technologies influenced by its motorsport expertise into the electric platform.

Looking toward 2030, Ferrari expects its model range to be approximately 40% internal combustion, 40% hybrid and 20% electric.

Motorsport at the Core

Competition remains inseparable from Ferrari.

Scuderia Ferrari continues to compete in Formula 1, while Ferrari returned to the top class of endurance racing with the 499P.

In 2025, Ferrari achieved its third consecutive overall victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, following wins in 2023 and 2024. The result reinforced the relationship between Ferrari’s racing programmes and its wider engineering identity.

Asia as an Important Ferrari Market

Asia plays an important role in Ferrari’s global client network.

Ferrari’s Far and Middle East organisation is based in Singapore, with regional operations spanning markets including Japan, India, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam.

In 2025, Ferrari shipped 941 cars to Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, while another 2,416 vehicles went to the rest of Asia Pacific, which includes markets such as Japan, Australia, Singapore, Indonesia, South Korea, Thailand, India and Malaysia.

Ferrari is also expanding its personalised client experience in Asia, with a new Tailor Made centre in Tokyo included in its strategic plans.

Global Scale and Financial Strength

Ferrari continued to grow financially in 2025 even while deliberately keeping vehicle volumes broadly stable.

For the full year, Ferrari reported:

  • 13,640 vehicle shipments
  • €7.15 billion in net revenue
  • €2.11 billion in operating profit
  • €1.60 billion in net profit
  • €2.77 billion in EBITDA

Growth continued into 2026. For the first half of the year, Ferrari generated €3.79 billion in net revenue and €876 million in net profit despite shipments declining to 6,802 vehicles as part of a planned model transition.

This performance reflects Ferrari’s emphasis on product mix, personalisation and exclusivity rather than pure production volume.
